In the current digital reliant global order, taking initiatives to formulate laws related to this sphere is undoubtedly necessary. However, TIB believes that if initiatives are taken to address the multidimensional problems of this sector with only one or two laws without considering the overall vastness of the digital world, without identifying the problems of the existing system, without involving sector experts and stakeholders from the very beginning, and without conducting any cost benefit analysis, it will increase new complexities instead of solving the problems. It will also lead to multidimensional rights violations, especially increasing the risk of government surveillance over personal data.
