Democracy and good governance, along with preventing corruption, are the primary objectives of Transparency International Bangladesh (TIB). With the aim of ensuring necessary reforms within the state structure for establishing democracy, good governance, and integrity, TIB published an observation-based report on 18 November 2024 titled ‘The First 100 Days After the Fall of the Authoritarian Government’.
As a continuation of that initiative, the present study examines the one-year sequence of events following the fall of the authoritarian government. This research reviews the progress of the interim government's key objectives—establishing justice, implementing reforms, and preparing for elections—along with assessing the roles of various stakeholders.
Information collection, analysis, and preparation of this report were conducted over the one-year period following the fall of the authoritarian government (from 5 August 2024 to 4 August 2025).
