‘Corruption in Service Sectors: National Household Survey’ is one of TIB’s major research initiatives. Since 1997, TIB has been conducting this survey on a regular basis. The main objective of this survey is to identify the nature and extent of corruption in various public and private service sectors in Bangladesh based on households’ experiences, and to provide policy recommendations for preventing and controlling corruption on the basis of the survey findings. In the 2017 survey, information was collected on the corruption experienced by households while receiving services from different sectors or institutions during the period of January to December 2017. The survey presented analytical results on 15 sectors including BRTA, which was published on 30 August 2018.
