Published: 08 December 2025

Concept Paper

Corruption is a global challenge. This malady exists in every country and society across the world in varying degrees. Therefore, recognizing the importance of collective efforts to tackle and prevent the challenges of a global problem like corruption, the United Nations Convention Against Corruption (UNCAC) was adopted on 31 October 2003 through the initiative of the United Nations.

The United Nations' theme for the day this year is "Uniting with Youth Against Corruption: Shaping Tomorrow’s Integrity." Today's youth generation will lead the world of tomorrow. Thus, all stakeholders, including international, state, governmental, and citizens of respective countries, have a responsibility to foster anti corruption attitudes among them and promote the practice of honesty and integrity. This theme has been determined to emphasize the importance of ensuring that the youth generation can actively participate in anti corruption campaigns, discuss corruption and share their experiences freely without any obstacles or hurdles, and have the opportunity to utilize their innovative power in preventing and solving corruption.
