Scientists believe that an increase in the global temperature by 2-4 degrees Celsius would cause irreversible damage to climate vulnerable countries. Although the Inter-governmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) in its 5th Assessment Report in 2014 predicted a rise in global sea levels from 1 to 3 feet by the end of the century, a report by NASA (National Aeronautics and Space Administration) in the USA has warned that the sea level would rise as much as 10 feet by the end of this century.
