MoU signed between BAWIN-TIB and DURP-KUET

In order to save Mayur river of Khulna from illegal encroachment, promote honesty and transparency in the water sector, carry research activities for identifying the governance risks and for carrying advocacy activities, a MoU has been signed between Bangladesh Water Integrity Network project of TIB and Department of Urban and Regional Planning of Khulna University of Engineering (DURP-KUET) Technology. The tenure of the MoU would be from February 2015 to June 2016 when a fact finding study regarding the mentioned subject along with awareness program and sharing workshop related advocacy activities will take place with the related stakeholders.
Begum Ferdousi Ali, President, Committee of Concern Citizen (CCC) - Khulna and Tusar Kanti Roy, Assistant professor, DURP-KUET signed the MoU on behalf of BAWIN-TIB and DURP-KUET respectively. Shaikh Abdul Quayum, Vice president of CCC - Khulna and Freedom Fighter, Ms. Rosey Rahman, Vice president of CCC – Khulna, Mr. Esraj-Uz-Jaman, Assistant professor of DURP-KUET, Robiul Islam Robi, Research Officer-TIB and Torikul Islam, Assistant Manager-TIB, were present in the program.
At the end of the ceremony, both party hoped that the program would be a successful one.
