Day Observance

International Anti-Corruption Day

TIB organize series of programmes both at local and national levels to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Bangladesh’s independence and to observe the International Anti-corruption Day (9 December). Committees of Concerned Citizens (CCC) in 45 areas across Bangladesh and Youth Engagement & Support (YES) members organized rallies, seminars and roundtables, human chain, cartoon exhibitions, street theatres, anti-corruption oath-taking and various other outreach activities participated by tens of thousands of people including public officials and representatives, professionals, civil society, media, business and the common people. The large majority of the participants were the young generation including the students of schools, colleges and universities.

World Water Day

Transparency International Bangladesh (TIB) observes the World Water Day (WWD) on March 22. While expressing his concern over illegal river-grabbing, river pollution and gradual decline of sweet water sources, the lack of accountability and transparency in water management and aquatic wealth conservation system has resulted in illegal possession of water bodies. The situation further worsened by emission of poisonous industrial wastage endangering both food and livelihood security, he added. The effects of climate change in Bangladesh's southern districts are being visible already with increasing salinity in the agricultural lands which is likely to create food crises in future.

International Youth Day

While talking about the growing trend of sexual harassment in educational institutions demanded exemplary punishment for the criminals and also demanded that government should develop and enforce a code of conduct for everyone related to educational institutions to prevent such crimes in future. TIB is organizes International Youth Day every year. 

TIB also organizes a street cartoon exhibition, a seminar on Youth Leaders of Bangladesh: Achievements and Challenges and an anti-drug campaign to observe the International Youth Day with the support of its volunteer YES members.

EKUSHEY FEBRUARY

International Mother Language Day and Language Martyrs Day of Bangladesh  observes by TIB on 21 February. Rally and other programmes organize by TIB where TIB members, CCC members, Shojon members, YES members, YES friends and TIB officials and mass people took part.  TIB pay its homage by laying flower at Kendriyo Shahid Minar.

Special card and sticker were published along with organizing drawing competition, anti-corruption campaign, cartoon exhibition, debate competition, satellite AI-Desk, extemporary speech giving competition, and liberation war photo exhibition in national level and CCC offices marking the day.

World Health Day

On the occasion of World Health Day, TIB organize several activities which include AI-Desk by Dhaka YES members, leaflet distribution, quiz competition, extemporary speech competition, rally, seminar and discussion. These programmes are largely attended and observed by CCC, YES members, eminent personalities and community people.
