Fact-Finding
Exercise (FFE)
TIB's Fact-Finding
Exercises consist of studies and analyses of existing rules and
regulations, law and literature on ways and means of combating
corruption in public sector service delivery systems.
Dissemination
of findings from Fact-Finding Exercise is done through monographs,
press conferences and workshops.
TIB has undertaken
three major Fact-Finding Exercises into the following three watchdog
agencies:
- Bureau
of Anti-corruption (published in December 2001)
- The Office
of the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG)
- The Standing
Committee on Public Accounts (PAC)
The findings
of the reports on the office of the Comptroller and Auditor General
and the Standing Committee on Public Accounts were launched at
the recently held "National Integrity Workshop", on
21 September 2002. Simultaneously, TIB also put forward two separate
working papers on these watchdog agencies.
Subsequently,
a revised working paper on the structure of the proposed "Bangladesh
Anti-corruption Commission" (BACC) was put forward at the
final day of the "National Integrity Workshop".
