TI's Corruption Perceptions Index and Bangladesh

Transparency International's Corruption Perceptions Index (CPI) 2001, published by TI's Secretariat in Berlin, has ranked Bangladesh 91st out of 91 countries in its perception of corruption among public officials and politicians.

This ranking has naturally aroused strong feelings in Bangladesh. TI Bangladesh is keen to encourage open and honest debate on the CPI and its implications.
