The first ever anti-corruption cartoon competition and exhibition:

To mark the 3rd International Anti-Corruption Day - 9 December 2006 Transparency International Bangladesh (TIB) held a Cartoon Exhibition titled Durnitir Biruddhey Cartoon at the Drik Gallery, Dhanmondi R.A. Dhaka. The Exhibition displayed anti-corruption cartoons which received awards or special mention in a Cartoon Competition organized by TIB. Nearly 200 young participants from all over the country within the age-limit of 35 years participated in this first ever anti-corruption cartoon competition in the country. The exhibition remained open during December 7- 10, 2006 from 3:00-8:00 pm everyday.

 

Ambassador of Royal Danish Embassy/Dhaka, H.E. Einar H. Jaensen inaugurated the exhibition while Advocate Sultana Kamal, Adviser to the Caretaker Government in charge of Ministries of Industries, Science and ICT, Textile and Jute has graced the opening session as Chief Guest. The distinguished Members of the Jury for the Cartoon Competition Mustafa Monwar, Rafiqunnabi, Shisir Bhattacharjee, Shahrier Khan and Ahsan Habib has Joined her as Special guests.
