Fellowship



TIB offers annual fellowships for research on Corruption and Governance. Key objective of the fellowships is to contribute to innovative and effective strategies and tools of combating corruption and promoting accountable governance.

 

Awards are made on the basis of research proposals on specific themes and issues related to fighting corruption and promoting accountability, transparency and good governance in Bangladesh. Two categories of fellowships are available: Research Fellowships for young professionals within the age-limit of 40 years with 3-5 years of research experience, who receive a monthly stipend of Tk. 35,000 and Senior Research Fellows above that age with more than 5 years of experience of independent research are be paid Tk. 50,000 per month. Additional lump sum amount (Tk. 50,000-100,000 per fellowship) may be available for research support and fieldwork depending on the proposal. Duration of fellowships will be 6-9 months depending on the scope of work.

 

Fellows are selected on competitive basis and principle of equal opportunity. Last date of application each year is July 15. Grants are announced by end August. Fellowships are expected commence from early September.
