Civic Engagement
Civic Engagement:
Volunteers are enlisted in TIB in 45 areas. These volunteers are TIB’s main driving force in anti corruption movement across the country. The volunteers are of two categories of citizens -senior, experienced, patriotic and credible individuals who are organized into Committees of Concerned Citizens (CCCs) and young college and university students who form the Youth Engagement and Support Group(YES group). These volunteer groups work with selected schools, hospitals and local government bodies to create ‘Islands of Integrity’, where the content and quality of services are improved including reduction of corruption in participatory process and applying various tools of social accountability. TIB works to develop CCC and YES group member’s capacity and provide all kinds of logistics support to implement different anti corruption related events at local level.
