Md. Raisul Islam Rassel is a freelance artist and a drawing teacher of three institutes. He was a student of Print Making of the Institute of Fine Arts of University of Dhaka. But for his physical illness, he was unable to complete his study. Still he has received so many national and international awards for painting since his childhood. He took part in the Festival of Asian Children’s Art and Bangladesh National Commission for UNESCO and received “Award of Merit” in 1991. In Earth Contest of Children Painting organized by “Japan Junior Chamber Inc., Japan,’ he has received Global Citizenship. He has also participated in the annual group exhibition organized by the Institute of Fine Arts of University of Dhaka in 2002. He was also awarded the 1st prize in the Art Competition for ‘World Hypertension Day 2005’ organized by National Heart Foundation of Bangladesh. His two cartoons were selected for a cartoon compilation book titled Cartoon Against Corruption published by TIB. He has jointly achieved the 3rd position in 'Group - B' in this year’s Anti-Corruption Cartoon Competition 2008 organized by TIB.
